Takashi Murakami (MMIX Lab), living in Sendai, Miyagi, leads the Memorial project in which he tries to preserve monumental objects destroyed by the tsunami, and the Sakura project in which local people plant cherry trees on the line of the tsunami destruction.

Satoshi Murakami

Artist Information

Born in 1988, Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University. As his current project, he carries a house made by Styrofoam on his shoulder, lives a nomadic life for several weeks sleeping in the house.

The artist Kensuke Miyazaki was born in 1978 in Japan.
After graduating from Tsukuba University, he moved to England and started his art career in various places over the world. He is undertaking the art project which putting people in contact with other people.
