An interactive art exhibition that connects people and bridges communities through field trip.
Huge thanks to Yuko Sasahara, our new staff member of Field Trip Project translating the original report in Japanese created by Ms. Miyasaka. Enjoy reading it!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We traveled through Japan in 2012; Onagawa, Shiogama, Niigata, Kesennuma, Tokyo, Kofu, Sagamihara. That adds up to about 2200 miles in total on this trip. Thanks to the backpack works(by fantastic Canadian Artists), we’ve had wonderful encounters at each region.
Now with brand-new staff members, Field Trip Project starts a new series. Please check out <about us>!
This year, we so far have scheduled two exhibitions; Gunma(in February), Osaka(in August)
I wish you all the best for this year!

Field Trip Project has visited one of the largest art festivals in the world. It is Echigo Tsumari Art Triennale. We visited the site of a Japanese artist, Satoshi Iwama with a team of 湯道(YUDO: they say drop your weapons, let’s bathe together) and exhibited the works in guerrilla style. Combination of art and the nature at the heart of Japan was bizarre yet stunning! (Daisuke)
